Long Slow Dinner - Mumbai
Another city, another Long Slow Dinner... this time in Mumbai.
This one was exactly what these dinners are meant to be: a close, comfortable space where people could slow down, talk freely, and actually connect. A big thank you to Manas for hosting and making everyone feel at home and to Abhinav and Sahil for attending.
What we keep seeing, dinner after dinner, is how important these spaces are. When the group is small and thoughtfully curated, founders feel safe enough to talk about the real stuff, the challenges they don’t always get to share otherwise. Those conversations slowly turn into genuine bonds, and over time, that’s what makes the climate community stronger and more supportive.
At the Mumbai dinner, the conversations moved across some very real themes:
we spoke about circular economy opportunities and challenges, especially how data collection and use is still a big gap in the way the system currently works.
There was also a lot of discussion around policies, where they fall short, why loopholes exist, and how implementation often matters more than intent.
And of course, the very familiar founder topic of hiring, what’s hard, what’s broken, and what tools and frameworks might actually help founders find and retain the right people.
No panels. No pitches. Just honest conversations over food.
And honestly, this is how communities are built! One slow dinner at a time. 🌱
